Nectar company, the leader in fruit procession and juices production in Serbia and region, has opened today in Vladicin Han the largest organic plantation in Serbia of altogether 114 ha which is another great step of the many years company appropriation to produce helathy products with added value for their consumers in Serbia and world-wide.
„ Today, we proudly open the largest organic apple plantations in Serbia on 45ha, and plan is to in the next four years to implant all 114ha. During the first year we expect the crop to be 500 tons of the best organic apple sorts. It was invested 200 thousands of euros in the equipment and seedling, and in the next 4 years will be invested total of 500 thousand euros. Our organic apples will be used for the production of organic children food brand Frutek, production of Life organic juices and freshly squeezed juices which are the first on the market. The goal is to enforce young farmers to go back to country side, to help farmers by enabling them to have safe buyout in Han and surroundings, where our largest factory for fruit and vegetables procession is. Only this year, engagement over 100 people from this area for harvest of organicapple is expected. We have invested over 15 million of euros so far, together with the state and local self-government in order to revitalize this neighbourhood, pointed out Mihailo Janković, General Manager of Nectar group, at the opening of the largest organic plantation in Serbia.
The opening attended Head of Chamber of Commerce, Marko Čadež and State Secretary Ministry of agriculture, forestry and water management, Velimir Stanojević as well as representatives of local self-government and professor from the Institue of fruit-growing from Čačak, who helped the soil be prepared and certified for organic production.
The Head of Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Čadež evaluated that this investment contributes to the development and promotion of organic production in the best possible way, better consumption of great productive and export potential of Serbian agrobusiness segment and making conditions for economic growth and employment in the south of Serbia.
